PARANG, MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE – In a dazzling display of athletic prowess, Ibn Taimiyah Foundation Academy, Inc. (ITFA) emerged as a dominant force in the recently concluded 1st Palarong Panlalawigan 2024 of Maguindanao del Norte held in Parang from February 24 to 29, 2024.
Representing Zone 3 in the competition, Taimiyan Pegasus showcased exceptional talent across a variety of sports, including Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Athletics, Arnis, Billiards, and the province’s first-ever Archery event, where they competed as the formidable “Pegasus Hunters”.
With an impressive haul of 24 gold medals, 15 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals, ITFA once again demonstrated their athletic prowess and proved their worth in the competition, solidifying their status as a powerhouse in their zone.
Of particular note was the outstanding performance of the Taimiyan Pegasus in the Archery event, where they clinched the victory and secured a spot to represent the province in the upcoming Palarong BARMMAA 2024. This historic achievement marks a significant milestone for ITFA and highlights their dedication to excellence in sports.
The 1st Palarong Panlalawigan 2024 brought together five zones of Maguindanao del Norte, encompassing both elementary and secondary levels, in a celebration of sports as an integral part of the academic experience. The event aimed to not only foster camaraderie and sportsmanship but also to identify and nurture talented athletes for future competitions such as the Palarong BARMMAA 2024 and Palarong Pambansa 2024.
